Forward City Church is currently seeking a temporary Ministry Assistant (Summer Student).

General Description

The Ministry Assistant will support the staff and Ministry Leaders of Forward City Church (FCC) with organizing and executing various ministry plans that support FCC’s mission — “helping people move forward towards a full life in Christ”. This role will be overseen and guided by the Lead Pastor and Operations Strategist. The successful candidate will also work with our Administry (Administration & Ministry) Assistant, and leaders within FCC’s City Kids Ministry.

This position requires some weekend and evening availability. The successful candidate will have some control over their weekly schedule, as long as they maintain a 35-hour work week.

Candidate Requirements

• Must 15 to 30-years old, and a Canadian Citizen

• A healthy and growing personal relationship with God

• A commitment to upholding FCC’s Staff Code of Conduct

• Able to manage various duties without supervision 

• Able to work effectively and report to supervisors from home

• Experience in video/photo editing would be an asset

• Preference will be given to applicants with a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle

• The successful candidate will be subject to reference checks, and a background check in the form of a Criminal Reference Check for working with Vulnerable Persons

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with the organization and execution of some Sunday morning gatherings and special events (some evening and weekend work required)

• Assist with communication, digital content creation, and social media maintenance

• Assist with editing images and videos, as required

• Assist with City Kids (FCC’s Children’s Ministry)

Terms of Employment

• Start date: Tuesday, July 4, 2023

• End Date: Monday, August 28, 2023 (possibility to extend contract)

• Rate of pay: $15.75/hour

• Full time, temporary; 35 hours/week
