As a not-for-profit organization, Forward City Church is responsible to identify "church members". However, we believe "partner" (rather than member) is a truer title for a brother or sister in Christ that belongs to our local church family — we partner with one another for the gospel (Philippians 1:5).

If you consider Forward City Church your local church family, we encourage you to become a "partner", by expressing your partnership (church membership) using the link identified below (see Requirements of Partnership).​

What does it mean to be a Partner?

Forward City Partners are people who identify themselves as belonging to our local church family, and would like to have a voice as decisions are made by our Board of Elders and Lead Pastor.

As an elder-led church, we look to appointed elders to function as the discerners and guardians of the church family. They evaluate the effectiveness and direction of Forward City, according to our mission, vision and doctrine. The Board of Elders is accountable to Forward City Partners and invite them to voice opinions and concerns for consideration. In matters of voting, only expressed Forward City Partners are entitled to a vote.

Partnership (membership) strengthens ownership and commitment within the church family, and protects the integrity of church governance.

Note: You do not need to be a Partner to participate at Forward City Church, and our Board of Elders leads with the desire to see all participants in the life of Forward City Church (not just Partners) shepherded through insightful and accurate biblical teaching.

Requirements of Partnership

In order to be a Forward City Partner, the following criteria must be met:

• Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ

• Baptism as a believer

• Affirmation of Forward City’s Statement of Faith (a short list of fundamental beliefs)

• Affirmation of Forward City’s mission and vision

• Engagement in the life of the Forward City family within the last year

• A recorded expression of partnership (use this form)
